Mini books

I had a trip to London for work recently. I don't boo the earliest train back as it's nice to have the opportunity to do a little shopping. The course was only a short walk from Blade Rubber so I had  trip there first but then I ended up at Paperchase. The shop in London has an art department selling a wide range of unusual papers and also sells some book and magazines in addition to the stationary you find elsewhere. I bought a book called "Making Mini Books" by Kathleen McCafferty and was keen to try some of the projects. Here is the first one. In the book it has been made as a necklace but I'm going to attach mine to my junk journal.

I already had the pages as they came in the Junk Journal swap I did on UK Scrappers. The covers are cut from a hardback book I've recycled. I punched the holes and added the elastic. I thought I would use the pages to practice drawing. This was another book I bought recently - "Illustration school let's draw cute animals". It's fun book as a starting point to practice drawing with some very cute animals that will be appearing I my art journal. The whole journal only measures 3 inches x 2 inches,

  1. Ahh - I love the handmade paper department at Paperchase in London - is it the Tottenham Court Road one? not that far from Blade Rubber so must be... I spend a small fortune on sheets of paper each time I go there and have yet to use any! Love the little bunny xx
