Some months ago I signed up for the Halloween Junk Journal swap on UK Scrappers. I thoroughly enjoyed collecting bits and pieces and adding some free vintage Halloween photos. Unfortunately my journal went missing on it's way back from Rebecca in France. Rebecca and the other lovely ladies in the swap sent me replacements but eventually my journal arrived back in France and has just arrived home today
It's absolutely fabulous so I'm very glad it eventually found its way home

Art Journal Courage
I'm just loving Dina Wakley's new book, Art Journal Courage. I loved the journal she made so thought I would have a go today. Here it is - acrylic paint, spray ink, Neocolor IIs, pen, pencil and stitching, on a canvas paper base
Lifebook 2014
Time to do a bit of catching up with last year's lessons. This was just a bonus lesson, but I absolutely loved it, hence the reason why I used up the paint on my palette to do a second version in my art journal (an old edger)
The Beacon of Light
Continuing with Lifebook 2015 the next lesson was the Beacon of Light, a whimsical character representing our connection to something bigger than ourselves, however we want to interpret that. This was pretty much a copy of the lesson, rather than being my own interpretation

Lifebook 2015
Having loved the previous versions of Willowing's Lifebook I decided I would miss it if I didn't sign up again.

Art journaling
Time to get the journal out. I thought I'd start with a simple page about our recent day out to a local nature reserve. When I showed my grandson, aged 7, my page he wanted to take my book and do a page himself. I was worried about giving him my book, but told myself not to be silly and handed it over. I love the result.
