A new circle journal page

A snowy Saturday was the perfect opportunity for some art journaling. I had a circle journal waiting to be sorted so it seemed like a good place to start. The theme was quotes and I chose the quote "What is this life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare"

Dina Wakley's Face Book

Another chance to play with paint and ink. We drew faces using a "magic pencil" over painted and stencilled backgrounds.

Silhouettes with Dina Wakley

This was the chance to play with the new silhouette masks and stencils - both Dina's and dyan Reaveley's. lots of different techniques and we finished the day with a canvas

Surface Experiments with Dina Wakley

Dina is back at Art from the Heart. Lots of paint, ink and very messy hands.

We played with acrylic paint, plaster, stencils, modelling paste and beeswax and here are the results

Julie Nutting doll stamps

I love Julie Nutting's book "Collage Couture" so finding she had a new range of stamps some spending was a must.

Here are my first makes - a card and a book for a friend's birthday

Another circle journal

I used the flower rubber stamps again, and the new Dylusions white linen spray, 7 gypsies Paris collage tissue and a quote from Dr Seuss
'Today is your day,
your mountain is waiting,
so get on your way.'

This is Chris Granelli's circle journal. Interestingly everyone has added information about products and techniques so there is a fascinating insight into other people's art.

Hand carving rubber stamps

I had a lovely day on Friday. It's good to go out of your comfort zone from time to time and hand carving rubber stamps was definitely not something I would have tried by myself. So thank you Kate Crane for a great day and a confidence-boosting session.
I used the speedball carving rubber

I borrowed some of Kate's stamps but the flowers are ones I carved. I was really pleased with the result. There are also some doodled flowers. These pages are from Yolanda's circle journal (Scrappyyo on UK Scrappers)
