|Secrets circle journal

I'm just starting another circle journal and my theme is "Secrets" so this is my first page.

Quotes that make you laugh circle journal

A snowy Saturday was the perfect opportunity to get the art journal out, but first I had a circle journal to complete an entry. The title had me thinking - what quote should I use? Then I found the perfect quote on facebook

My boss told me "Dress for the job you WANT, not the job you have". Now I'm sitting in a disciplinary tribunal wearing my Catwoman costume.

So I had the quote, matched it with on eof the Love cats digital stamps from Lily at the Octopode Factory and a background using Dylusions sprays and stamps

and sprayed the start of an extra background for later

I found one handmade book still in my possession so hurried to photograph it. The cover is material and the spine is leather. The pages are Khadi paper - handmade paper made from cotton rag in India with beautiful deckle edges.

I bought the material at a craft show and was pleased to have found a good use for it
Sadly I seem to have completed other craft projects and given them to friends without ever taking photographs. I have made handmade books and another circle journal, "Magical or secret doorways" has set off.

I'm doing Lifebook again (Willowing.ning) and here are my first journal pages for 2013

It feels good to get the art journal out again and play with paints
Winter seems to have brought a flurry of knitting but not much blogging. Scarves and shawls have abounded and most have now found new homes as presents.

This is my favourite, a throw using the luxurious Colinette yarns. they are hand-dyed and very special

Steampunk Alice 2

I need to share the rest of the pages from my circle journal. These stunning pages are by Shirley. IRL they are so touchy-feely with the raised cogs. "I am not strange odd weird or crazy. My reality is just different to yours" I love the quote
The Octopode Factory stamps again but this page is very different to the other one. These are Juliwan's pages and I love them - just beautiful.

Last but not least Mrs McF's pages using the Graphic 45 Halloween in wonderland pages. I loved these papers and this is a wonderful end to the book.
"What is the use of a book without pictures or conversation?"

So I'm totally thrilled to have this wonderful artwork, with such fabulous contributions. Thanks you so much to all these wonderful people.

Steampunk Alice

Back in January I blogged about my circle journal I was sending off on its way. Recently it returned home brimming with fabulous artwork. What a change from the slim couple of pages I posted. Everyone completing a page has added their contribution to the book. All I had to do was to add pockets for the sign in tags and the covers.

So here it is

Cynthia Spooner's fabulous contribution. I love Alice's wings!
Vicky Abrathat - "If I had a world of my own everything would be nonsense"
I love this quote and the stitching on the papers
Alipeep's wonderful pages using the Octopode Alice stamps
Look at this amazing doodling by Allycat. I'm going to study this carefully as I want to do more doodling
My favourite pink! I love the 2 Alice's in these pages by Gill (Wisher)
